Do these words strike you as a little strange? Of all the things that could have been recorded by the Gospel writer and they write about the fact that Jesus was hungary?!?!?!?! Talk about weird details. But, is it really so weird. It shows that this Jesus who just three days before was dead is now very much alive. After all, I have never known of any ghosts to request food–mainly because they are not really living. Food is for those who are really truly alive and our Lord is!
“The King of Lovey My Shepherd Is” is one of my absolute favorite hymns of all time! This beautiful shows Christ as a shepherd with everyday people today and from years ago. Jesus is really with us as our shepherd each and every day. Let this message sink in as you ponder the question, “Knowing that Jesus is really, truly alive and with me, how does that affect the way I approach today and everyday?”
