Safe TALK for Ag Suicide Alertness Training

Our Mission Committee invites you to participate in this important free training

SafeTALK for Ag

March 3, 9 am – 1:30 pm at Cross of Calvary Lutheran Church

SafeTALK training focuses teaches in-depth skills you can learn in half a day. You’ll learn how to recognize someone having thoughts of suicide, how to engage them, and how to make sure they get help. This evidence-based training is effective for people as young as 15 years old. It is recommended that people under the age of 18 years old, attend with an adult. The in-person format includes powerful audiovisuals and live practice.

SafeTALK for Ag teaches the same skills to farmers, lenders, mediators, agency staff, clergy, educators, veterinarians, healthcare and social service providers, and agricultural advisors and businesspeople.

Registration is required. A light meal will be provided.

Sunday School Service Project

On March 22, 2026 the Sunday School will be putting together person care caddies as a service project. The caddies will be donated to Family Promise of Kandiyohi County. Family Promise will distribute them to clients for use in their housing facility. Family Promise helps area families experiencing homelessness find new homes and maintain their dignity.

Items Needed: 

  • Portable Shower Caddy
  • 12 oz. Shampoo
  • 12 oz. Conditioner
  • 18 oz. Body Wash
  • Washcloth
  • Comb
