In March, students assembled personal care caddies to be used by families being served by Family Promise of Kandiyohi County. This organization helps families experiencing homelessness find new homes and maintain dignity. Thank you for assisting the Sunday School kids in this project!
On March 22, students traveled through 5 stations which opened their eyes to the facets of homelessness.
- Packing Caddies for Family Promise
- Storytime with Gordy and the book, “Saturday at the Food Pantry”
- 5 Things Activity – kids chose 5 things they would take in a backpack if they had to leave their home quickly
- Would You Rather Activity – kids chose which scenario they’d rather be in
- Shelter Building Activity – kids built shelters out of cardboard boxes
