It is not an obligation. It is where we are reminded of the truth of who we are. It fulfills us. It is our Father’s house!
Christ's Love
Welcome to day #7 or the beginning of the second week–however you are counting!
One of, if not the greatest, things about Christ is that he is constantly faithful to us. Even when we take our eyes off of him, he will never take his eyes off of us! That is good news! But, life can constantly obscure our view of him. We are weighed down with a lot of stuff we think is on us. But, it isn’t. We are sent out following the example of Christ. Never taking our eyes off and when we do we pray for his gracious hand to lead us back. Good questions do that. A will place question will be a good reminder–“Where is your faith?”
Great song to keep us focused on the question “Where is your faith?”
For all this around Cross of Calvary, service tonight at 7 pm. Don’t forget the soup supper either–serving from 5:30-6:30!!!!
Lent Day 5!
This devotion goes right to the heart of our study. Do you want to be healed? Sometimes it is easier not to be healed then asking the hard questions. The hard questions are what end up transforming us. There can be no significant growth without these hard questions.
The following video is called “Roll Away Your Stone” by Mumford and Sons. As we ask these hard questions, it is important to have someone to walk with as we “roll away the stone”. It is once the stones that are rolled away by the questions that we ask and others ask of us that we can experience true resurrection. It is important to have companions in the faith along the way and always keeping in mind we have the greatest of all companions in Jesus Christ who is always with us. So, who are those people in your life that you can walk alongside of as the stones that block out true life are rolled away?
