Serving the Church

Volunteers Welcome signAll service to our shared ministry is a sacred calling, and volunteers provide an important role on building the body of Christ.

Altar Guild – Keeping the Altar area in good order so that all who may enter can worship in a meaningful way. Guild is divided into teams of two or more to share/serve at least once a month in the following ways:

  • Clean the Altar area
  • Prepare for Sunday worship
  • Set up for Communion
  • Prepare for special services (Christmas, Easter, etc.)
  • Prepare for weddings, funerals, etc.

Members are trained and assigned to a rotating team that is responsible for the services during a given month. The Altar Guild also sells greeting cards (individually or in boxed sets), small gifts, gift bags, and napkins. These beautiful, reasonably priced items can be found next to the church office.

This group meets Bi-Monthly on the Second Wednesday of the month (except during summer). All are encouraged to attend!
