Come to the fellowship hall after worship to hear what Cross of Calvary is up to as a congregation and make decision about our ministries in 2024. Coffee and goodies provided!
To prepare for the meeting, please take a look at the proposed 2024 annual budget.
Cross of Calvary is a vibrant congregation with activities for all ages that provide opportunities to grow in faith, serve, and connect with others.
We are blessed to have two full-time ministers to assist us in living out our callings as followers of Jesus.
Our budget reflects our commitments to:
- children, youth and families
- visiting homebound members
- engaging in person and online worship
- mission through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)
You’ll notice that our proposed budget has gone up by about 10%. Reasons for this include: 4% inflation rate, salaries and benefits, property insurance, and rising cost of utilities.
The church council has confidence that with your continued support, we can meet our goals and continue to thrive.
If you have any questions, please contact a church council member.

2023-24 preliminary budget vs actual
In addition to our normal business, we will be considering a recommendation from the Council to call Sister Sarah Hausken as our Parish Minister. She is already hired by the congregation, but in order for her to maintain her status as a rostered Deacon (Minister of Word and Service) in the ELCA, she needs to be “called” by a congregation.
